I had a dream. Several young African American kids were running away, laughing, from a large blue building by the sea. They seemed to have softly vandalized the building. A Caucasian man was angrily shouting after them. I told him to go report it to their parents. He angrily responded that it didn’t do any good. Then I was over a community of people who were allowing their children to be mean and disrespectful to the properties of others. They did not reprimand their kids, even became angry when told their kids had done wrong.
I asked God the meaning. He responded that what negatives we allow to other people’s properties, what we disrespect, what we do not protect, what we do not correct, we cannot possess for ourselves.
We prevent ourselves from prospering, even keep ourselves in poverty, by allowing ourselves and our kids to destroy and disrespect the property of others. Wow!
“You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” If you bite and devour each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.” –Galatians 5:13-15 NIV
