It’s time for a SHIFT in our lives. We can no longer live as defeated Christians when the total price for our victory has been paid. Paid with the precious blood of our Lord, Jesus Christ. When the Sadducees questioned Jesus about the resurrection, His response was very powerful and yet accusatory. Jesus accused them of being in error for two main reasons. First, they did not know the scriptures and second, they did not know God’s power.
Jesus answered and said unto them, You do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. –Matthew 22:29
We live in a day when it is imperative that we as Christians are not guilty of these accusations. The enemy is out to steal, kill and destroy. But Christ paid the full price to defeat our enemy totally and completely and for eternity. But He did not stop there. God provided us with power through His ever-present Holy Spirit. He also provided us with all truth through His word, which He commissioned His Holy Spirit to teach us and reveal to us. We must know God’s word and God’s power is available to us 24/7/365 and 366.
Years ago someone came to the Rock Church of Virginia Beach and brought this teaching about the 4 winds of God. Over the years I have kept the card with the notes in my Bible, and would be led by the Holy Spirit to take it out and pray the truths at various times. I have been blessed to see God move as I trust and believe His word. I cannot remember the Brother’s name who taught me these truths, but I sure can remember the truths and its power. Today I prayed these prayers over my neighborhood as I did my prayer-walk in preparation for the coming 7/7/17 Let Down Nets Holy Ghost night of worship.
So I will share with you the truths about the 4 winds in the word that my Dear Brother taught me, truths to bring a SHIFT in your life, for ever.
East Wind
This wind brings correction and judgment against the forces of darkness. It is a strong, violent, scorching, dry wind from the desert, not to cleanse, not to winnow (Jeremiah 4:11-12), but to destroy.
And, behold, seven ears, withered, thin, and blasted with the east wind…. –Genesis 41:23
They shall come all for violence: their faces shall sup up [as] the east wind, and they shall gather the captivity as the sand. –Habakkuk 1:9
The east wind destroyed the houses in Job 1:19 as it parted the Red Sea and drowned all the enemy and their chariots in Exodus 14:21. It destroyed the ships of Tarshish in Psalm 48:7, and brought locusts as Moses stretched out his rod over the land of Egypt.
And Moses stretched forth his rod over the land of Egypt, and the LORD brought an east wind upon the land all that day, and all [that] night; [and] when it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts. –Exodus 10:13
So we use our authority as children of the Most High God and summon the East wind in the name of Jesus our Lord against every evil force that is coming against us, our loved ones, our neighborhoods, our cities, our country, to all we hold dear.
Prayer: I summon the East wind, in the name of Jesus, to bring judgment against the forces of darkness and to release the powers of God in His house, in my house, in my life, in my finances, in my relationships, in my health, in my _____________Amen!
West Wind
This wind brings deliverance and mercy. It is a strong wind that brings rain from the sea. After the show down at Mount Carmel, in His mercy, God sent the rain to end the three-year famine in the land of Samaria (1 Kings 18:43-45). After God’s judgment against the enemy, every chain that was forged, every stronghold erected, every bondage must be destroyed, annihilated, completely decimated so that God can now pour in His mercy in the vacated places.
And the LORD turned a mighty strong west wind, which took away the locusts, and cast them into the Red sea; there remained not one locust in all the coasts of Egypt. –Exodus 10:19
Prayer: I summon the West wind, in the name of Jesus, to bring deliverance and mercy in God’s house, in my house, in my life, in my finances, in my relationships, in my health, in my _____________Amen!
North Wind
This wind brings the calming, soothing presence of God, driving away all that was against us. There God will appear with the latter and former rains (Hosea 6:3).
Awake, O north wind; and come, thou south; blow upon my garden, [that] the spices thereof may flow out. Let my beloved come into his garden, and eat his pleasant fruits. –Song of Solomon 4:16
Prayer: I summon the North wind, in the name of Jesus, to bring the calming, soothing presence of God in His house, in my house, in my life, in my finances, in my relationships, in my health, in my _____________Amen!
South Wind
This wind brings prosperity, blessing, provision, and restoration. After the enemy’s years of havoc, there is left much pain and devastation, poverty and lack. God blows in His South wind to restore the years of the destruction of the canker worm and the locust. We can believe Him for His SUDDENLY goodness (2 Chronicles 29:36) to come upon us- exceeding, abundantly, above all we can ask or imagine according to the power- Jesus!- at work in us (Ephesians 3:20). He will do a quick thing that makes us exclaim with joy and gladness, “It is the Lord’s doing and it’s marvelous in our eyes!” (Psalm 118: 23; Mark 12:11).
Prayer: I summon the South wind, in the name of Jesus, to bring prosperity, blessing, and restoration to God’s house, in my house, in my life, in my finances, in my relationships, in my health, in my _____________Amen!
